Dr. Qi Gu is currently a Full Professor at both the Beijing Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine and the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also serves as the Deputy Director of the Division of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Gu leads a research laboratory recognized for its pioneering work in biomaterials and advanced biofabrication technologies, particularly 3D/4D bioprinting.
As a productive scholar, he has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals such as Advanced Materials, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Materials Horizons, and Advanced Functional Materials, with research focused on bioprinting, biofabrication, and stem cell engineering. In recognition of his contributions, Dr. Gu has received several prestigious honors, including the Young Investigator Award from the Chinese Society for Stem Cell Research (CSSCR), the Australia China Alumni Award for Research and Science (2023) from the Australia China Alumni Association, and the Excellent Young Scientists Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Beyond his research, he serves on the editorial boards of several respected journals, including Biofabrication, Bioactive Materials, Cell Proliferation, and BMEMat.
