Jinah Jang, a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Life Sciences, Department of IT Convergence Engineering, and the Graduate School of Convergence at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH).
Professor Jang, an authority in 3D bioprinting, is leading research on the production of artificial organs using bio-ink suitable for specific tissues. She is noted for opening new possibilities in regenerative medicine to overcome difficult-to-treat diseases. In particular, her research on the ‘development of stem cell-based cardiac muscle patches’ for heart disease patients is gaining attention.
