Dr. Gabriela Kronemberger is a senior Postdoctoral Researcher at Trinity College Dublin, based at the Trinity Centre for Biomedical Engineering. She has over 13 years of laboratory experience and a strong background in tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting and biofabrication. Her current research focuses on the development of osteochondral and meniscus grafts, utilizing microtissues as biological building blocks in advanced 3D bioprinting strategies.
Dr. Kronemberger earned her BSc in Biophysics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, Brazil) in 2016, followed by an MSc in Biomedical Sciences in 2018 and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences in 2021. As part of her doctoral training, she completed a one-year research exchange at Trinity College Dublin. Throughout her academic career, she has worked on diverse projects, including biofuels and the bioengineering of bone, vascular, and cartilage tissues using 3D-printed polymeric scaffolds and mesenchymal stem cell-derived microtissues.
