Abstract Submission Information
On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Committees for ISBF2025, which is being held in Warsaw, Poland from 14-17.09.2025, we invite you to submit an abstract on the conference theme “Revolutionizing Healthcare Through Biofabrication: Challenges and Breakthroughs for a Healthier Future”.
Submission Guidelines
Submission mode: Abstract must be submitted online via the website only.
Abstracts submitted by email will not be accepted.
Authors are required to submit their abstracts online by 30th of April 2025.
Abstracts must be submitted in English.
It is preferred that one person serves as the presenting author for a maximum of two abstracts.
In the submission form, you will be asked to indicate whether your abstract should be considered for: Podium presentation, Poster presentation, or Podium or poster presentation.
Several topics and symposia have been defined for the abstract program. Please choose the specific symposium that best fits your abstract from the provided list. Additionally, you may select up to two topics, though only one is required. Be sure to select the category that most accurately describes the content of your abstract.
In the submission form, you will also need to provide the abstract title, author(s), and affiliation(s). Each abstract may include up to 15 authors, and the presenting author must be clearly indicated.
Abstract body: The abstract text must not exceed 500 words and should include the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References. If applicable, Acknowledgments and Disclosure Information should also be provided.
Additionally, a graphic, picture, or table can be uploaded as an attachment in one of the following formats: doc, docx, odt, pdf, png, or jpg.
The submission form will require you to select a maximum of five keywords. You may also include any comments or remarks regarding the abstract submission.
It is mandatory to agree to the publication of the abstract in the conference materials.
If you are a Young Investigator, you may apply for the Best Oral or Poster Presentation Awards. During the submission process, you will be asked whether you would like your abstract to be considered for an award.
The submitting author must ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and agree to its submission prior to submission.
The submitting author is also responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection, copyright laws, ethical regulations, and laws on animal protection.
Selection and notification process
Selection: Submitted abstracts will be reviewed and scored by a panel of interprofessional judges prior to the Conference. The following criteria will be used:
- Relevance to the conference theme “Revolutionizing Healthcare Through Biofabrication: Challenges and Breakthroughs for a Healthier Future”
- Novelty, importance, scientific impact and educational value.
The ISBF 2025 reserves the right to accept or reject any submitted abstract and re-classify any accepted abstract.
Notification: You will receive a notification of acceptance, request of modification or abstract rejection by the end of May 2025 via e-mail. It is the responsibility of the submitting author to inform all other authors of the status of the abstract.
Withdrawal of accepted abstracts: If the abstract must be withdrawn, the ISBF2025 office must be notified in writing by 14th of July 2025 (Monday) via e-mail to info@biofabrication2025.org
Author registration: Presenting authors of accepted abstracts must register for the conference by the Early Registration Deadline (4th of July 2025). All presenters are expected to cover their own travel and lodging expenses and pay the conference registration fees. If the entire registration fee is not paid by the deadline, the abstract will be automatically withdrawn and will not be presented or published.
Publication of abstracts: All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference materials. Here you will have the ability to opt-out of the publication of your abstract.
